[Solved] Kids Holiday - Outdoor Survival

Hi All, (Mods, I wasnt quite sure of which category to put this in so please move as you see fit)

Both my kids 9 & 10 are really into things like Bear Grylls etc and I've taken them camping a number of times over the last few years and the odd night away fishing etc and they really enjoy the outdoor/playing at survival type things we get upto. My daughter even spends evenings studying basic survival skill videos on you-tube

Providing things go well in my divorce, I'm looking towards possible holiday type events with the kids for next year, and I was looking to see if there are any outdoor survival training type events/venues that I could look at with a view of taking the kids away for a week or long weekend.

Looking to build our own camp/shelter, fire lighting skinning/cooking own food etc etc.

I've done some internet trawling but I'm struggling to find something that would be suitable for a family to attend. Do any of you guys know of anything/anywhere where I could do a it more research???

Thanks

Hi Rizzy,
.
This sounds great, and anything that gets kids away from in front of the tv is a good thing, I've just looked and found there are actually a Bear Grylls backed events (see the link below), you may have found this already though, looks like it's a 24hr thing and you learn knife skill, camp fire building so everything your looking for, ages are from 10-17 for kids so your youngest may just be old enough by the time you can book.
