Hi
My daughter is 7 years old. I used up my 13 years of parental leave allowance before she reached 5. I very much want to increase my leave allowance so that I can spend more time with my family. I wondered whether anyone here might have some tips for how to do this.
My employer does not have a holiday purchase scheme. They offer unpaid leave in 'special circumstances' but it is proving very difficult to obtain this.
Any suggestions please?
Best regards
David
Hi David,
I'm not sure many employers would be able to help you with extra leave as they would always use the "needs of the business" card
The only option you may have would be to reduce your hours to part time, doing this would allow your employer to take on another member of staff also part time to cover the hours.
