Has anyone got a different outcome in the final hearing from the initial cafcass recommendation?
Cafcass have recommended I get every other weekend. There are no safeguarding concerns. I have moved closer and have flexible working hours and work from home. Is there anyway the judge could go against the cafcass report and give me extra days. I really want to be with my kids, I was always heavily involved in their lives before ex run off.
I can also prove she is turning my youngest against me, and I want it to stop hence I want to say I need extra days for this reason. I can prove this also from various contact centre reports I have. But should I bring it up in final hearing?
When is your final hearing? You will get the option to discuss this with your ex or their solicitor before you speak to the judge. So explain what sort of contact you would like to the solicitor and see what response you get. I would suggest offering an option where it starts with every other weekend for a month or two and then increasing after time. You will want to show you are being reasonable and that it is best to take this approach so they get used to staying at your place. If nothing can be agreed, they may offer a final contested hearing. Cafcass have no concerns so at least you have that on your side.
@fer17 it's next month. I got the first hearing dra, then following week I got 2 days for final hearing. Its very close together.
The ex even said to cafcass I shudnt have shared holidays and cafcass said in report if I can't handle shared holidays I should return the kids back if I'm busy with work lol. They failed to read my work report which shows I have enough annual holidays and flexible working from home. Talk about cafcass siding with mother or what...
