I was reading Blog Tuesday - http://www.dadtalk.co.uk/blog-tuesday/the-first
An interesting blog about how your first made you feel, how it changed you.....and thought I would share a big change for me.
Have never liked creepy crawlies of any sort, or slugs, worms, snails etc and certainly would not pick one up. When my first was around 2 - 2.5 we were out in the garden one day, garden funnily enough and he saw a worm and said eurrghh and backed away and I stared at this worm and picked it up to show him it was harmless. Even while I was holding it, I felt as if I was watching myself thinking "what the [censored] are you doing" and then proceed to pick up a snail. Still do not like them but refuse to show fear of it for him. Now I know it is all in the mind but I still find it really strange to this day, how my brain flipped from squeemish to not in a moment of "DAD" π
Do you have anything that changed, improved, stopped for you with your first?
