my ex is getting married, do i have less rights than my ex new partner?
also if any thing should happen to my ex do i automatically have the children living with me?

I don't think you will have no less rights than you do now, her new partner won't have any rights unless they apply for parental responsibility.
If anything happens to your ex, it's likely that your child would come and live with you though this may be worth discussing up front so everything is covered.
