Am keen to identify dad friendly movies where dads are the role models e.g. Finding Nemo
Can anyone help point me in the right direction.
Other resources will also be helpful. So please suggest some including youtube videos which are heart warming and kids will get the right message. As my kids are 8 and 11 am hoping something age appropriate for them.
Despicable me 1 and 2.... very funny, my two love it.... villain becomes foster dad as part of plot to s teal moon then ends up adopting them... very sweet.
Farther of the bride..... speaks for itself
Sleepless in Seattle ..... great if you have a couple of girls
March of the penguins.... nature program
there are lots and lots with positive male role models but more difficult if it just has to be dads,
Just watched Mr Poppers Penguins on TV, think that qualifies
The Descendants
The Little Mermaid
Batman Begins
Mr Mom
The Incredibles
Mrs Doubtfire
Kramer v Kramer
My Life
It's a wonderful life... classic.
The Lion King
Fly Away Home
We Bought a Zoo.
...I cheated and googled it! Some of them might not be age appropriate, but the last one I really enjoyed and Mr Poppers Penguines is a good movie too!
The Lion King movie is great for watching with children.
Peter Rabbit
The Grinch
Finding Nemo
Finding Dory
BFG
Dino Dana Movie
Winnie the Pooh
There are so many good movies to watch with children. Movies like How to Train your Dragon, Frozen is great for watching with children. I recommend those films that I and my children liked. In general, I try to choose such films that would teach the kids about good deeds. I never include my children films and cartoons that contain revenge, cruelty and teach them to behave like the cartoon Masha and the Bear. Be careful what you let your kids watch.
