Hi All.
I was wondering if anybody might be able to advise please - My weekly payments leave me right on the edge of being able to survive financially On a normal week, yet I now have my daughter for the next two weeks and am struggling to find the money to feed her let alone do anything nice with her for the summer holidays. But yet whilst she is with me her mother will receive two lots of CSA!!
Do I have any rights what soever in terms of the payments I have to make to her mother whilst I'm looking after my child?
Any advise would be appreciated,,cheers Guys
Nick
Unfortunately the CMS doesn't take this into account, there is a reduction of 1/7th for each overnight stay per week but that has to be over a year. Do you currently get a reduction for regular overnight stays your daughter has with you?
The only thing I can suggest is that you try and negotiate with the mother about it, if she cares for her child she should want her to be well provided for whilst away from home.
I totally understand...my ex (wife) takes all the csa and i look after the kids most of the time, the csa will not listen to my side and can only ask the ex if she will agree on increased contact...which of course she won't. I am afraid we're all stuck with paying the ex's whilst we pick up the expenses. Sorry I can't advise as I'm in the same boat but if you get anywhere let me know.
