Hi,
my name is jayson and i am very new to fatherhood, but evidently i am currently having some serious issues!

i have a son that is 1.5 years old and i am having problems with access to him. his mother dictates to wen weh n how i can see him which is atm about 2 hrs a week under the supervision of her mother. there is NO legitimate reason as to why i can't have him. after a crazy break-up 10 months ago and attempts to resolve this ourselves, it has proven to not work and yet i am still not any better off.
i currently live at my fathers in which my son's mother will not let me have my son here with me even for a few hours only because she doesnt get on with them here.
my name is one the birth certificate and i have attempted mediation which has seem to of failed. i understand i can obtain and download a C1 form but i still am not sure what i need to do in order to have this major problem resolved!!
applying for PR, what will that mean exactly??
all i want is to have that access to my son!!

my problem is that i cant afford anything at the moment as earlier this year i was suffering with depression but i hav a roof over my head, its 100% safe for my son or ANY child, food etc but i cant have him.

wondered if you may be able to help as i am struggling.
i need a bulleted break down of what i should be doing how, when, where because now i feel like im losing my son!!!!!

many thanks J robinson

im sorry your going through this, and it sounds just like my sons story. wish i could say its getting easier but he does have 6 hours a week with his child. hope you have a lawyer, they dont seem to get you the access you want for ages then by the time they do the mothers turned the childs head n they wont stay. any access is better than none so get to the family court. my grandchild loves us and as long as we r in their life we can build more access up as the years go by. i know this is not legal advice i just wanted you to know your not alone x

Hi Jayson

I've replied to your other questions, so hopefully for the moment, you should have some reading to start you off.

Hi Jayson,

A misunderstanding here - I didn't send you a private message, what I meant was that I replied to your other thread which covered most of this question. 🙂

hi actd,

ok thanks for that. i will check out the C100 form soon as i can and take it from there.
is it correct that using this form i am able to go to court without the need of a solicitor and their charges??
....thats what i have been told.

...please correct me if that is wrong!

many thanks

JR

Hi Jayson,

It is right, once you have paid the court cost's you can continue without the use of a solicitor, so no other legal fees will apply.

We can help you through the legal side of child law with the CCLC who are linked to the site, so if while going through court you have any questions ask away and we will ask them to drop by.

As said have a look at the below link as it covers my post's from start to finish as I went through court representing myself.
