Hi new here. Two months ago my ex partner randomly stopped me seeing my child, blocked me and my whole family on her phone and my daughter’s iPad so I have had no communication at all. I have had a miam appointment and will be following through with mediation but I know my ex partner will reject this. I am starting to look into a solicitor to represent me in court but no one seems to be able to give me a rough ball park figure of how much I will be looking at. I am not going for full custody just want to see my daughter and have a court order in place to stop this happening in further. My ex partner does have bipolar and has been extremely nasty in the past, spreading lies about me and my family making it very hard to ever be able to follow through with custody processes. This time round I have already applied for a court date but now worried about how much this is all going to cost me, does anyone have any experience they can share to help me understand a rough amount?
Hi,
with solicitors a rough estimate will be £15,000 and possibly more by end of case. I don't think it's worth it. with right guidance you can self represent. If you need further advice you can contact me. sending you private message.
