In my case I live an hour and a half away from my daughter I do all the driving to pick up and to drop back there is no reason why my ex can't do this I have asked on numerous occasions for her to meet me halfway but she refuses point blank even at mediation he refused ever do any of the driving
I just wondered if anyone else is in this boat and are they deducting money from them maintenance could I do this as it's cost me a lot of money and basically I can't forward it I now have a new family and we are living on nothing as all my money goes i'm picking up and collecting my daughter and the time I spend with her I want to make it best I can as I don't get to see her have to much as I wish I did and I love spending time with her

You can't deduct travelling expenses directly from the amount of child maintenance you pay, but you could ask for a variation to take account of these expenses.....it would only be a percentage of the amount you pay for travel though.

you would need to be paying at least £10 a week traveling expenses for them to consider a variation...I feel your pain!
