Anyway....just thought I'd say hi!
We're booked in for C-section tomorrow (Friday).....with twins on the way! Excited but ever so slightly cr*pping myself!
Any other dads of twins out there??
Cheers
Lofty
Hi Lofty,
Welcome to the forum.
Congrats on the imminent arrival of your twins, do you know what your having.......other than 2 babies
Good luck for tomorrow, one tip I was given by the nurses when my son was delivered by C section, was don't look up into the lights as the reflective material used will give you a view of everything going on behind the screen and you don't really need to see that.
GTTS
Nope....managed to keep that under wraps so far!
Thanks for the tip
Hi Lofty and welcome to the forum π
I'd like to add my double helping of congratulations and I'm pretty sure you will have held your little ones by now...nothing like it in the world!
Do drop by and let us know that all is well with mother and babies and you too! π
Hi and welcome - I'm amazed you actually managed to come on the forum so close to the birth, and I'm guessing that as I type this, you have your hands full π
Hi Loftyhammer,
You must be a dad by now....... I hope everything went as planned.
Congratulations.
How are you finding being a dad?
Keep talking.
Gooner.
Hi all....and thanks for the wishes! And yes, I am now a proud dad of two boys!
Very rough day yesterday as wife lost a lot of blood and wouldn't stop bleeding. They kicked me out of theatre and it took another 3 hours to stabilise her. I can honestly say I have never been so scared in my life! Long, tough and emotional day!
HOwever π π π Things now much improved and she is recovering nicely - albeit still closely monitored and hooked up to loads of tubes, drips and things that go beep! The boys are both doing really well - one was 5lb 5oz and the twin 2 was 4lb 8oz...names still TBC; but I got to do my first feed and nappy change today! Which I got an 8 out of 10 for...told the wife that was me done - retire at the top!! lol
Thanks again, and look forward to getting involved on here
Cheers
Simon
Congratulations to both of you, and glad to hear your wife is on the way to recovery. That's a pretty healthy weight for twins I believe (that's 10lbs combined weight). I doubt you get to retire just yet (or ever, in fact).
Woohoo! I'm so happy for you both! π
Thank goodness your wife is recovering nicely and your two little boys are safe and well... Now the fun begins! π
