[Solved] Son left college

Hi, new here and looking for some advice.
My son left college this year and is now 18 . My question is when can I legally stop paying child maintenance payments, am I right to think it is once he has left college? My ex wife tells me my son will be going to Uni from Spetember ( I only learnt this today as I do not have any communication with my son, and haven't for 10 years, his choice not mine)

I am willing to continue to contribute to him while he is at Uni, I would like to contribute directly to him and help him with his expenses etc, however I want to check that legally I can stop sending money directly to his Mother?

Any advice?

As I believe it from information I learnt from this site recently, You only have to make payments up until he leaves college and nothing past this.

Wanting to pay him directly is great and i'm sure that what ever his reasons for not wanting contact he will appriciate that.

I would contact CSA and ask them to re assess under change in circumstances.

Is there any way you can re-establish contact - if you haven't had any communication with him since he was 8, it may not have been his choice at all, but his mother's influence.
