Hi chaps, I need as much advice on how to approach the social services,
In the past they wouldn't speak to me because I didn't have pr. So I need to do this as soon as possible so I know what's be going on and get my side of the story over.
Just be yourself, answer their questions honestly and always remain calm and reasonable, keep your responses child centred and remember, they are only interested in what is best for the child, so it's up to you t show that your involvement with your child is of benefit.
It's also worth bearing in mind that the courts work on the premise that it is a child's right to have both parents in their lives, as long as there are no safeguarding issues.
If you have concerns, of course you should express them, but if there is hostility from the mother, try and rise above it and if she is a good mum there's nothing wrong with saying so.
Hi,
Why are social services even involved?? Sorry i hope you dont mind me asking.
I've rang the social services this morning, our daughter is not known to them anymore, but I've asked them for a full report of all their involvement since the start. Now hopefully they will comply with my request, it's [censored] great having pr
Ah sorry, I got the wrong end of the stick, though you were asking for advice on being interviewed for court... looks like you dealt with them satisfactorily though!
All the best
