I'm about to go on to SPL (shared parental Leave) and I cannot find any info on whether I will be exempt from paying for my prescriptions or any other benefits. I will have a reduced income and money is tight so we need to look at all ways of managing our finances

Hi there

I've had a look round and can't find anything that says you are entitled, just that the mother is during pregnancy and for 12 months after. Here's a link to a list of people who are exempt

http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/Healthcosts/Pages/Prescriptioncosts.aspx

If you go into the pharmacy I'm pretty sure they will be able to clarify your situation.
