Dear All
Does a father have to have a Parental responsibility order to enable him to apply for a shared care order
thank you
Hi There,
.
I'm not 100% certain on this, but others will know and will be online later and answer, so keep checking back.

I'm not sure on this, but I can't see why you couldn't apply for both that the same time.
Hi there
If a father doesn't have PR or a court order granting him PR it wouldn't exclude him from applying for any order, its possible to apply for an order for PR at the same time.
If you wanted to apply for shared care you would need to apply for a Child Arrangements Order and specify that you are requesting that the child resides with you both and you share their care. It doesn't actually mean that a child's time with each parent is split 50/50, but it can be.
