Hi chaps, i am currently seeking advice in regards to CMS payments under the new system. As it was i was paying 165.00 for the past five years and now under the new system i am due to pay 280.00. This would not be such an issue if i earned more money. I was told that HRMC had provided an estimate of my earning this past year however when i sent my wageslips inot the CMS to proove my earnings i was told that nothing will change. In spite of having pleaded with the CMS over the phone and exlaining that my second job does not guarantee work as i am bank staff and that my partner and i are expecting a baby this year so i will not be working as much extra they decided not to alter my amount. Further to that, i will see my daughter less because of the cost of fuel. This has caused alot of physical and financial stress for both me and my partner and if i could lawfully cease all payments to the CMS i would do it out of principle now because its clear to me this company operates above and beyond the law.
Any help will be grately appreciated.
Matthew
HI There,
.
CMS do have an appeals proccess so you could try that and if you still don't get anywhere then you could also contact your local MP and see if they are able to help you.

Evening Matthew,
Now this scares me abit my ex partner is contacting CMS soon to get payments from me as we have recently split up my concern is that you was paying 165 and now through cms you now pay 280 I don't know your income but I'm self employed and I can prove my income only by my tax return papers, I have two children with her so I'm worring abit on the amount cms are going to work out I have to pay if it helps I earned roughly 14k last year so if anyone knows roughly on what I could be paying to my ex would be much appricated.
I would check out the CMS calculator to give you an idea. If you have a consistent record with HMRC, then I would hope it would be reasonably straight forward.
