[Solved] Result of final hearing

Hello All

We had the final hearing last week and after a long afternoon of uncertainty of what was going to happen, my son was granted an extra overnight starting September 2017 AND he was given permission to take his son abroad on holiday, without needing to ask permission of the ex, one week Easter and one week in the summer holidays, ongoing starting Easter 2018. One week was defined as 7 overnights, not the 6 the ex was trying to give my son. My son had raised other issues that were not discussed at all by the courts.
At the final hearing it was different judges and a different clerk, which upset us at first. They took 20 mins to read the paperwork, one hour with both parties in the court, then 50 mins, judges and clerk discussing, agreeing the outcome.
My son said it seemed like the women judge was on the ex side and the man on his. He was asked lots of questions, which made him feel that they (the women judge) was trying to catch him out, it never. He remained calm throughout and his whole case was about what was best for his son and the reason why, no slagging the ex off.
I will try my best to help anyone on here who wants it, by sharing our experiences over the last 4 years. Feel free to ask me any questions.
My Grandson is wonderful and loved by us all, especially his Dad.
Keep strong, keep fighting xx

Thanks Jnny....our little ones are worth every ounce of fight we have in us...and some. Glad this particular journey is over and you were fairly successfully.

All the best.
