Hi all
I haven't seen my children for 3 years due to my ex partner doing a moon light flit with my children I finally went to court in Feb of this year with a break of contact after years of my ex telling me one min I can see them next min I can not leading me to have no contact for 3 years my new partner has been my rock and helped me out with paperwork emails etc....I am currently at the stage where cafcass are trying to build a relationship between me and my two boys (I have wrote letters done videos all cafcass has asked I have done) I was supposed to meet my two children 5&6 for the first time Monday but my ex cancelled and refuses to give another date... then I have received a phone call from cafcass today to inform me my ex is not complying with any part of the contact order
We were both ordered to go on separated parent class she booked and never attended, (I went on mine it was very beneficial made you see both sides) he excuse was she's a parent why does she need to do a course
She hasn't had any meeting with cafcass bare 1 to which my ex would not allow the cafcass officer in her house
Sorry back to the call today I was told she had not complied and had no intentions to do my cafcass officer has wrote an email to the court asking if she can come into our court hearing which she was granted
Then for the bombshell she asked me if I would consider full residency of my two boys
I am over the moon and of course I said yes but I am worried I am getting my hopes up has anyone been through a similar case of events?
Thanks in advance res
Hi
So this if CAFCASS asking you if you will have residency? This is quite unusual, so they must have a good reason for doing so, and presumably that's the recommendation that they are considering putting to the court. It certainly looks good for you. Of course, there is no guarantee as to what the court will order, but as I said, it's very unusual, so I would imagine they must have some fairly compelling reasons for doing so.
