[Solved] Position statement

Hi all ive been ordered by the court to write a position statement for the final hearing which i have done.
I have emailed the court a copy i have sent a copy to the CAFCAS officer i just need to send my ex a copy this has got to be sent this Thursday.
The thing is i dont think my ex will send me hers on time and think its a little unfair for her to see mine first. what would happen if i didn't send my copy of the statement on time? would it go against me in court?
im representing my self.
Thanks for any advice.

Why don't you keep checking with court to see if they have received hers, and then you know you can send her yours safe in the knowledge she can't change hers to suit yours......I wouldn't not send her it at all, but if the court haven't had hers, I would wait as long as you can. If you arrive at the hearing and not seen hers, you need to make the court aware as it could delay proceedings.

You could contact her and suggest that you exchange your statements at 4pm on Thursday, that being the deadline and see what she says.

If neither of you send it in time, you could both get a telling off, or not.... some judges are sticklers and some are more laid back, more so when the parties aren't legally represented. there's no way of knowing.
