Hi all. I'm not a regular here but I am wanting to make a change. Not to pay less towards our children but to make it a fairer system. Like many on here my job consists of unpredictable overtime and due to low staff last year my hours went up and basically my efforts to help the company in work for cope with low staff numbers screwed me in csa calculations as now the hours have stopped due to new staff being hired. Also I have never understood why we get the calculations made on gross income when we dont actually get the tax or ni. So I've opened a petition to see if we can get this changed. This can happen if we all sign up and make a stand !

Many thanks

When it was the CSA, it was based on net income, not gross, but the percentages were higher - for most calculations, I think the figure you actually pay is slightly less under CMS than CSA, up to a salary of around £25k if I recall correctly.
