hi everyone, just looking for an answer to this question. am i right in saying that what you pay your ex partner is only 5% of your wages, and is that reduction before or after tax .

Hi there

It's actually 12% of gross income (before tax deductions) for one child.

If you pay into a pension that amount would be deducted before the calculation is made .

If the child spends overnight stays with you a deduction of 1/7th of the calculated amount is deducted for every night per week they stay over.

hi, and thanks for your reply, my eldest daughter never stays at mine, uncool for her to do that. i will give the csa a ring just to clarify
