I forgot to add that if you are thinking of completely self-representing (not using a solicitor or barrister), look in to finding a McKenzie Friend. The fee charging ones (generally much cheaper than a solicitor) usually provide advice as well as support with all the necessary paperwork. They can also accompany you to the court hearing to provide moral support, but - with rare exceptions - they will not be allowed to speak at the hearing.

Thanks Toks,

I have just looked into them, I may probably go down the route of using a barrister. I'm not great at speaking publicly and know I will just mess up my words and stutter - as well as not addressing the most crucial points because of anxiety wanting me to get out of there 🙁

I likewise am an uneasy public speaker and had all the same fears, which is why I chose to go down the barrister route.
