HI Everyone
new to site so many thanks for that , been a single dad for a few years now and never had many issues . but looking for a bit of info if possible ...
I have been paying my child maintenance for the last 12 years without any problem , tI was a agreement made in court in scotland with a set amount to be paid up to my daughter leaving full time education .
I have been in full time employment all that time and never missed a payment but unfortunately i have been given notice of redundancy without much chance of getting anywhere the same salary . so how do i get the court agreement changed to suit my future income that may well be benefits ,without my ex taking me to court for not paying the stated amount of £330 a month can anyone put me in the right direction
Hi There,
.
Scottish law is different as far as I am aware, so I would recomend taking some legal advice as the only advoce I could give may not be suitable.
.
Keep checking back though as others may have some advice.

I'm the same with regards to Scottish Law, but in the UK, the CSA or CMS can override a court order for maintenance once the order is a year old, so it would be worth contacting the CMS up there and see what their rules are - if it's the same, then I'd say that it would be worth opening a case with CMS and let them calculate the payment based on your reduced income - check with them how they assess your income once you become redundant, last thing you want is for them to take your income prior to redundancy.
