hi CCLC,

my name is jayson and i am very new to fatherhood, but evidently i am currently having simular issues as minty!

i have a son that is 1.5 years old and i am having problems with access to him. his mother dictates to wen weh n how i can see him which is atm about 2 hrs a week under the supervision of her mother. there is NO legitimate reason as to why i can't have him. after a crazy break-up 10 months ago and attempts to resolve this ourselves, it has proven to not work and yet i am still not any better off.
i currently live at my fathers in which my son's mother will not let me have my son here with me even for a few hours only because she doesnt get on with them here.
my name is one the birth certificate and i have attempted mediation which has seem to of failed. i understand i can obtain and download a C1 form but i still am not sure what i need to do in order to have this major problem resolved!!
applying for PR, what will that mean exactly??
all i want is to have that access to my son!!

my problem is that i cant afford anything at the moment as earlier this year i was suffering with depression but i hav a roof over my head, its 100% safe for my son or ANY child, food etc but i cant have him.

wondered if you may be able to help as i am struggling.

many thanks J robinson

Hi Jayson

As well as the posting above from the CCLC (in another posting now since I'm moving your post to a new thread), I would suggest reading yoji's guide to representing yourself at the top of the legal section. This will give you a good idea of the processes involved.
