If you employ a private detective, what would your next step be? You need to be really careful, if you find out where she is, I wouldn’t advise contacting her, as you could find you’ll have a non molestation order slapped on you. All it takes is a couple of calls, or if you turned up at her address, you could find yourself arrested... particularly as the police have spoken to her and are refusing to reveal her address.

It’s a fair assumption that if her proxy mum has blocked you, it’s likely that she is with her. If you have the address, you could start the ball rolling, but I would speak to a mediator near to where she is staying and ask them to sign off the form to enable you to make an application for a Child Arrangements Order.

yep you could hire private investigator. but as mojo mentioned, do not go knocking on her door. she will mostly like say go away or she'll call police. just find out address. go to mediator and say partner has cut all contact and ran off with kids. 99% chance they will just give you green light to make court application. better to hurry before she does anything silly like leave the country with your child.

theres good mediation service. can just do video call with them. can recommend one if this forum allows it.

... Just a heads up, it only takes one parent to apply for a passport I believe.

It might be the case that a seek and find order is cheaper than hiring a detective, if you self represent... solicitors fees will bump the costs up rapidly.

We would rather you didn’t link to individual mediation services on the forum, thanks Bill.:)
