Hi everyone
I've recently split up with my wife and are seeking mediation.
I've been contracting under my own ltd company for 4 years but when I was leaving I was still employed in a perm role.
My wife has a rough idea of my day rate, and am I right in thinking that CMS payments are based on Salary + DD? Will they or can they take into account any money that is in the business ?
I fair and want my kids to live a and have a good life too but equally I dont want to be paying more than that is right. If people have been in this situation please pm me or just reply on here and we can share our thoughts.
Thanks
James
Hi There,
.
If you are running a limited company, then you will be paying yourself a wage, so they will take that into account as well as any dividens you pay yourself, becuase the company is limited then the assets and money in the business aren't looked at, you are purely assessed on the money that you pay yourself.
