This is my 3rd cao, previous 2 I did not do well. Went blank in court and couldn't take in what was being said and what was agreed. The case will most likely go to a DRA and then a final contested hearing. I do have a little bit of money for perhaps a direct access barrister but not for 3 hearings the first being a Fhdra. I have prepared a position statement for the Fhdra. Out of the, 3 hearings will this be the one least likely to need a barrister for please.
Hi,
I was in similar situation in past and self represented. 1st hearing is most basic. Will focus mainly on cafcass safeguarding letter. Cafcass reports are crucial.
Can you give little background as to why this is your 3rd court application?
If its straightforward case, I think you can do it alone, or perhaps be supported on the day by a mckenzie friend. Feel free to get in touch if you need advice. Dropping you a private message.
I am a dad and like you couldnt open my mouth in court, the hearings felt completely overwhelmed, and like you took the very expensive solicitor route. soon ran out of money. went to support through court. free advise cannot talk for you in court. and for all my court document McKenzie friends, amazing guys. but cannot talk for you. I went into court much more confident. did everything myself at very little cost.
