Sorry to hear your news.
I think it's better to be open with your ex about what sounds like a serious health issue.
If contact is taking place and your child is settling once handover is complete, I wouldn't worry too much for now.
Is that your final court order - 6 hours every 2 weeks?
yes that all ive got,
Im sorry to hear this, you must be feeling pretty low and worried about your own situation.
I think its important that you find out more about your own prognosis, once you have learnt as much as you can, then I agree with Yoda that you should try and talk to the mother about it.
If that’s too difficult, you could try mediation to start the conversation. She has been obstructive up to now and she may well try and use your condition against you, that’s why it’s important to understand the long term effects of your illness and how that might effect your day to day living. It might be that there are treatment/medications that will allow you to live quite normally and shouldn’t effect your time with your child.
All the best
I agree that you have to prioritise your health, you can't properly concentrate of contact if you are worrying about your own condition, but once that's settled, then you can get back to focussing on contact. If it is in court, I would hope that a judge will help you with contact with proper regard to any genuine medical limitations that you may have.
