My wife has been sent 2 divorce petitions from the courts (Strangely they do not send my registered/recorded ?). She has stated that neither of them have been delivered. The courts have the correct name and postcode. Its far fetched that the first one would not arrive as for the second one then it is obvious that games are being played. Just wanted someone else's experience of this.
Hi and welcome washington37,
There may, by chance, be someone with some experience and able to help you, but bear in mind this site is really about parenting for dads, rather than divorce. You may well find you get more apposite advice from one of the forums (I'm told that 'fora' is no longer used) that specialise in divorce (wikivorce has a good reputation).
I hope all turns out well for you,
O
Hi There,
.
From memory, when my divorce went through, depending on the reason for the divorce, I thought the court could proceed without notice from the non applying side I do remember though that if the divorce was being filled under the grounds of adultery then the other party had to accept.
.
It's a shame that the courts don't send the papers back to you so you can had deliver them as they do with family law cases for children.
.
I wonder if you spoke to the courts and asked them if they could either send you the papers so you can hand deliver them or if you could copy your papers and give her a copy that way instead.
.
