I have made offer but as topical she was told how much she can get before all the facts were given to th cms so how can I get her to see that what I am offering is better . I have a day visit order to start and as I am trying to biuld on visitation .the ex will try to make me out to be not wanting to pay due to money orientatio not for fact of cannot afford and also when things change in time having to go through al hassles of cms again .
Any ideas
Is there a case open with the CMS at the moment? If not, to be honest, I'd open one (£20 fee) and get them to work out the payments and then do direct pay. There's nothing to stop you from paying more than that if you want to.
Hi there
Perhaps you can use the CMS calculator to show her how much she is entitled to. Here's a link
www.gov.uk/calculate-your-child-maintenance
All you have to do is follow the instructions, put in how much your salary is and it will work out roughly how much you should pay.
The CMS is a new scheme and they are encouraging parents to go onto Direct Pay and work it out between themselves. All you can do is to talk to her about it and hope that she will see sense.
Good luck
