Hi

You have to try mediation before you can apply to court - there is a fee for this, but legal aid is still available for mediation, so you'd need to check on this - the mediator should be able to help you with this. Use this link to find a mediator www.nfm.org.uk

There may be help with part or all of the court fee if you are on a low wage - but try the meduation first anyway.

Hi There,
.
As actd has said you may still be able to get asssistance with the cost of mediation, I did think there may have been an option for help with the court fees if you were on low income too, seem to remember this being given as advice before, hopefully someone will confirm this

Hi there

The mediator will be able to assist you in applying for legal aid for mediation, if you are eligible. As far as the court fee is concerned, you can apply for a part or full exemption from the court fee and you will need form EX160 to do this.

Hopefully she will agree to attend mediation and you will get something sorted out, if not the mediator will sign off the C100 form to enable you to make the application to court.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

All the best
