Hi all. Just need some advice please. My ex is getting legal fraudulently. She's hiding money. A lot of money, and I have proof. How do I report this to the legal aid department? Any advice will be much appreciated.. Thank you.

:p i was very surprised. when i emailed them, they kept me fully updated. they even told me the outcome that aid has been revoked. usually all these departments have strict confidentiality rules and don't like to tell you about their investigations.

Bill337, just for my education, was there ever a non-molestation order against you, or did your ex get legal aid on different grounds ?

hi,

no i did not have a non-mol. nothing in my police records. she had weak claims of domestic abuse violence. shouting. breaking furniture lol. God knows what her solicitor got her to allege. had she disclosed her savings, legal aid would have been rejected.

hi Bill337
I have the similar question.
my ex never contributed to family budget she kept all her earned money to herself. She possibly could even hide four digit numbers while claiming laa for dv
the thing is I can provide bank statements with not even a single payment to shared account ,but also she left bank statements to her name in my home.
is any way I could use it?

hi,

email: MoJCounterFraudInv@justice.gov.uk

let them know if you think she claimed legal aid fraudulently by not disclosing savings. they will get back to you if they need evidence.
