My children have been home schooled but my youngest is now 18 and a half. They are not at college or uni and my ex has just started a claim for maintenance payments because I recently remarried.
I have asked for proof of their home schooling/ online courses but get no information whatsoever. So what can I do. Its basically my ex wife's word that they are being educated. or doing some online training. And she informs me that as they are being Home educated I could be paying indefinitely as there is no age limit to home schooled education.
Can anyone offer me advice as it seems to be a grey area and no one can give me a straight answer.
Hi There,
.
I don't have much experience of this I'm afriad, but as long as child benifit is being paid then you should continue to pay, so if you can establish whether it is being paid then you would have an answer.
.
Hopefully others would have a better idea and comment soon so keep checking back.

I'm not sure how home education is classed but I suppose it's not an advanced course, so she might get away with it. However, it's not indefinite as CMS stops at age 20, so there is an end in sight.
