Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm 42, married and a first time father of a 2 week old girl.
Hi SP and welcome to the forum 🙂
Huge congratulations for the arrival of your baby girl! Your life has changed forever....but in a good way! 😉
How are you finding fatherhood? It's pretty tiring for the first few months but time will fly so make the most of these baby days...pretty soon she'll be crawling around and causing mayhem! 😆
Huge congratulations seem somewhat misplaced having read your blog post today.... Your take on fatherhood is hard to read to be quite honest and I'm left wondering if your attitude towards it is as a result of relationship problems or whether it goes deeper.
Your experience should be one of joy, it is for the vast majority of new fathers, even if it is tinged with feeling out of depth to begin with. I hope you won't mind me mentioning male post natal depression at this point, could this be something that is effecting you right now.
All I want is to try and understand where you're coming from and try and help if I can. If you'd rather talk via private messaging, just drop me a line.
Hi,

And welcome.
