Hi not sure which forum topic to post this in..
I have my final hearing at the end of August. Zero cafcass involvement.
I have requested shared access. Currently at 80/20, with zero school holidays.
Ex has offered me same nights with two school pick ups and 2 weeks school holidays.
My manager has completed a letter saying I work from home can take all my 40 days leave a year around school holidays, that my role means I could if required do all school pick up and drop offs as hours are flexible. This has been sent with the final court documents
I have a solicitor and he seems pretty confident of shared access. However I was wondering if anyone has any experience of a final hearing with zero cafcass involvement and what they were given..
My solictor said I should be at least getting the shared school holidays and not to budge on wanting shared access as we are not negotiating a used car. This is about a child..
Thanks
You should get half of the school holidays . i assume you get every other weekend at moment ( 2nights fri+ sat)
and nothing midweek.
Is she now offering you 2 midweek days as well or did you already have this in place?
I currently get on Sunday overnight, then did nursery pick up
Then Friday Overnight all day Saturday
Then Tuesday overnight and pick up from nursery.
Then repeat.
Currently though he not at nursery so those days I would have done pick ups I have during the day as my job is so flexible.
This has been the case since schools and nurserys were shut due to covid..
He is going to school in September.. The school is 400 yards from my house.
It all came to a head when I took a week off work and took him away for 3 nights. I said I would have on the Friday when I was also off work. She denied me and instead let her parents have him. Saying I can't have any time I am on holiday unless it my time to have him or I am taking him abroad.
My work have provided a letter to show I can take all my leave during the school holidays and that I can work around all school runs..
Based on current arrangement her parents would be doing more school runs than I will be.
I want to ensure he has stability and when I do school runs he is not at mine for tea and then bathed and rushed home.. That he knows he is sleeping at mine at the times I do pick him up from nursery.
I have proposed 3/4 and 2/2/3 she tried to negotiate and give me 2 weeks holiday and a Monday overnight, and two school pick ups one week and every other weekend. My solicitor said not to agree to it or negotiate as we not buying a used car.. Its a child.. He said he would say so if he thought what I was requesting was unreasonable.. So that has reassured me
Thanks
