False allegation-Police involved

Hi, scary how common this tactic seems to be judging by the forum.

So been trying to gain access to my children since I left my wife at the end of Feb 2023. Everything was as ok as can be but far from perfect until she found out about my new partner.  It’s all very messy. Very long & detailed story but I’ll cut to the chase. I’ve been told by children services that a serious allegation has been made against me. They haven’t & wont say what, just that police will be in touch this week, likely by phone initially. This was last Friday & I’ve still not heard a peep. I know I’ve done nothing so there can’t be any evidence of anything but as I’ve never been involved with the police ever & reading stories of people going to jail on the words of others or one other alone is really concerning as I have zero faith in the system based on what I’ve read.

Anyone give me their experiences in similar circumstances that may help alleviate my concerns?

Hi,

Are you going through courts to get access to children? If police want to interview you, I suggest you ask for a duty solicitor.

@bill337 Hi, not quite at court stage for access. I had mediation MIAM appointed and because my ex knew my stepdad couldn’t do mediation for her & not attending at all or refusing would hand me the upper hand, this false allegation (whatever it may be) has been lodged with children’s services & then the police.

I have a criminal law solicitor at the ready for when I need them. Just spoke to him there actually because I welcome that interview but as we don’t know the officer appointed we just have to wait according to my solicitor.
