Hi there,
My partner has been paying CSA to his ex every month. He has a DOE so it comes off his wages however he has since started a new job. The CSA are asking for 3 months worth of payslips but he hasn't been there 3 months, what will happen? He is really worried that they will take a huge lump sum of cash from him to backdate these 3 months. Any advice would be appreciated
I would advise that your partner continues to put away the calculated amount each month until it's sorted, that way if there's a difference between the old and new amounts due to a change in salary, it wouldn't be so much.
He should contact the CSA and discuss it with them to avoid them taking a bigger amount....if he tells them he is putting the monthly amount aside it might help.
All the best
Hi,
As far as i know they will only take the same amount as they always take, you only provide payslips if your earnings have gone up or down by 25%... you get warnings if you fail payments and it takes a month or so for it to be sorted with your new employer, i think he is worrying about nothing
