Evening all,

My names Nick, I'm 25 and expecting to meet my daughter in probably the next 3-6 weeks (wife is currently 34 weeks pregnant).

I have been looking for a good resource of dads to talk to to help me with problems as and when I come across them.

However I'm also a keen writer, and have actually started writing my first book, and accompanying blog. I hope I don't break any rules by posting this, but the blog can be found at the link below.

http://daddyhd.wordpress.com

It is simply a blog of event during the pregnancy as I have found them, I belive it also an extra resource for other new dads / expectant fathers.

I'll be staying around and posting, so please do not think I have joined literally just to advertise the blog and vanish (although having just said that I do have to go and collect the pizza my wife's been craving) but I will be back!

Many thanks

Nick

Hi Nick

Welcome to the site

Don't think you have broken any rules - you are only shamelessly advertising your blog and not other products etc so think you should be ok!

I had a read of the first few and it brought back some memories (thankfully very distant ones) and it made me laugh that you talk about the expense and the house - it will only get worse.

You should speak to Goonerplum - he is always on the lookout for regular bloggers - have you seen the Dad.info blogs?

Oh and good luck with the arrival - will it be a Xmas baby? My youngest was 23rd December and he loves having a week's worth of presents!

Thanks Mario, I'm just about to send Goonerplum a message 🙂

I don't doubt I'm in for further expense lol, have already gone through decorating 2 rooms since we found out, as well as kitting out the nursery and filling new babys wardrobe lol. In fairness though, my wife finds things at an amazing price, managed to find a website yesterday selling brand new grows for 35p each (think it was a pricing error, but she still ordered them for that price!)

yes our little one will be a christmas baby, due 21st.. my own birthday is 17th so theres every chance I could share my birthday with my child 😀

How naiive 😆 What it means is that you won't get a birthday - it will all be geared to your little one. My daughter's birthday is 15th June - I haven't had a proper fathers day since she was born 😆
