I currently pay CSA for both my sons 15 and 9. (Calculated at (£327 per month). Recently my eldest son started to do his mock O levels but unfortunately need more tuition in science and will require resists in his exams.
I currently pay to take him to see football matches approx £15 -£20 per week depending on games being played. My ex wife now wishes to halves on private tuition fees for him. Shouldn’t this be taken out from my CSA contributions and not request for more money from me ?
Feedback help required please ASAP
All extra expenses are purely discretionary, taking him to football matches is something you do with him in your own time together, so it's reasonable that you would pay for that.
As far as private tuition fees, again whilst all expenses are covered by the amount of maintenance you pay, this is a little outside the usual remit, in my opinion.
If you have a private family arrangement for maintenance, then perhaps you could negotiate with her about it, but if you pay through the CSA/CMS they wouldn't look at adjusting the amount, to take account of the extra expense.
Try and see it as a benefit for your child that is time limited and will help him personally.
All the best
