Hi and welcome

I suppose I can see their point of view really. Do you have parental rights for your son? If so, you should be able to write to your school requesting the information. If not, I'd have a word with the CSA again and ask them what proof is required - my first thought would be to write to the school and or/local education authority and ask them to write to the CSA directly to confirm that your son is no longer at school.

If you get no success, then post back here and we'll see if the CMO have any advice.

OK, I'll ask CMO whether they are able to help with this.

One other options might be to complain to the CSA, and also go to see your MP and ask them to write to the CSA also - MPs are able to fast track through the normal complaints timeframe.

Hi, I'm Sarah, a consultant at Child Maintenance Options. Sorry for the delay in replying to your post.

Your son's mother is legally required to tell the CSA if and when your son leaves full time education (A'level or equivalent) and/or child benefit is no longer being paid. Once the CSA are informed of these changes, they will tell you when payments can stop.

I hope this helps,

Sarah.
