hi all, just looking for some clarity on the payment of csa money, if this is paid to a child who is at college until she is 18, (turns 18 january next year) does it stop being paid when she turns 18, or when the college course finishes in may of next year. many thanks
Hi There,
.
It would run in line with any child benifit that is being paid, the CSA and CMS check whether CB is being paid and then will stop accordingly, so it would depend on whether CB class the course she is on as full time if they do then you would continue to pay until CB stops.

hi, she is doing a course in public services, and i dont know if she is still receiving child benefit. i dont really want to ask her mother as she will probably lie or kick off.
If she stops claiming CB (ie she is honest about the claim), then the CSA should be able to check that - you can ask them to check. If she is in non-advanced eduction, then maintenance can continue up to her 20th birthday.
