Hi there
I don't understand how they can be chasing you for maintenance for a child over the age of 20 as I always thought that was the cut off point.
You say both your children are working, are they on some kind of day release from college? They are allowed to work up to 24hrs a week as long as they are in full time non advanced education, this covers some apprenticeships too. Full time means anything above 12 hours a week.
If neither of your children are in full time education or on an approved apprenticeships then I would advise you to appeal their decision. Did you formally appeal their decision last year? I suggest that you start the complaints/appeals procedure and make an appointment to see your MP,and ask for their help.
Best of luck
