Hi can someone help me my son has been at college since 18 but since Covid come into place and he no longer goes to college and works full time should payments stop.
CMS state that he is still in education and payment need to continue is this Correct .
hi,
usually as long as child benefit payments are active, then CMS would advise parents to keep paying maintenance. I don't see other option, unless your ex contacts them and says he is no longer in full-time education.
I agree with Bill337
General Q tagging on to this, as the CMS payer are we able to appeal this and thus the ex would have to prove child is in college at appeal?
Or is the rule that as long as child benefit is paid then CMS due? (I'm sure that I read the rules for CMS and Child Benefit are different but can't find where)...
Thanks
