Hi,
Im wondering whats the point even with a court order the parent with care holds all the cards
and unless you have plenty of money to keep going back to court there is no way to enforce the visitation rights .My Son has a court order but never sees his sons as his ex just ignores it .Social Services have recently been involved as they were concerned about things but what a joke they turned out to be. i feel so sad that because of one persons desire for revenge the children have to miss out but even sadder that they can play God and theres nothing to stop them.

Hello grannyreid,

I can feel your sadness in the words you write. You don't have to have "plenty of money to keep going back to court....." Many fathers on here have represented themselves successfully and have regular contact with their children. There is some work to be done but with the help of this site and the knowledge the moderators have, I would say, do not give up !

Your Son could take the matter back to the court and inform them that the Court Order is not being adhered to. The more your Son persists (in the correct manner) to get contact the more it will highlight the unacceptable behaviour of his Ex. If your Son does not inform the court of the breaches, the situation as it is now will just carry on and no progress with contact will be made.

It is a child's right to have both their mother and father in their life.

I agree with the above post. It's not so hard to self rep and the courts eventually get sick of continual breaches.

It 's worth looking up the form EX160a to see if your son can get help with court application fees.
