[Solved] Complaints against Cafcass

I'm just wondering if anyone had been successful with a complaint against Cafcass through the Ombudsman. I have already had one complaint through Cafcass itself which was turned down. The officer I complained about basically lied and has done so not only to me but her boss and the court as well.

I am therefore going to take the matter further.

I recently finished another round of court proceedings and Cafcass and Children's Services made up some stuff about me. After months of trying to get it sorted, officers closing my file and washing their hands of it, and going through the respective complaints teams, I was told they ultimately wouldn't be doing anything because it was all a case of miscommunication on their parts, which is something they shouldn't take fault for apparently. Anyway, they said if I wanted to take it further I was to go through the ombudsman. I haven't yet, and not sure I will - I have a chronic health condition and all of the stress has made me a lot more ill, so I'm not sure if it's worth it for me. I don't want to go through all that, make myself more unwell in the process, for them to only turn around and say they're not going to do anything.

Do you know much about how the process works? It's disgraceful how we're treated in these cases. They're completely ignorant to the fact that their mistreatment can have a detrimental effect on our lives on a number of levels, and on our time with our children.

Got my complaint turned down, basically covered their crapcass officers back by saying that she had carried out her assessments based on their operating framework and it was a matter of my opinion versus hers.
I did respond pointing out that the court agreed with me that the crapcass officer had not done her due diligence by refusing to take in to account the previous multiple reports all stating the ex was frustrating contact and if allowed to continue to do so that child would be a risk of suffering emotional harm if contact with me was allowed to be broken at her will!
add to that there were serious lack of following up on facts that were presented in evidence to crapcass...she took everything on face value from the ex and refused to go over the quite significant history of the case
the judge had her removed from the case at the hearing last year and instructed crapcass that it be allocated to another officer with more experience.....crapcass must have seen that as a joke because they then put a new case worker on it...guess what...a fair bit younger than the previous one and she was less than 30!!!
they declined to take seriously my complaint about that too and the judge just shrugged his shoulders in court!

the system is a joke and really does seem aids those making false claims to help prevent contact rather than actually investigating the false claims.
