Can anyone advise me.
My daughter has been in full time employment since the start of February, yet I’m still paying maintenance. I’m phoning everyday to get them to close it down and stop taking my money which comes straight out of my wages. Buts it’s may now and still going out. When I phone them they just say they are dealing with it blah blah blah but nothing has been done no matter how many times I call
IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO I’m at my wits end ???
i registered with CMS, and they gave me an account, username etc. i take it your ex went to cms, so you probably dont have an account? otherwise you could have gone in there and made changes. i dont understand why they dont sort it then you ring them. how long has this been going on for?
It can take weeks to sort out and if the mother is still claiming child benefit for her, you’ll struggle to get the CMS to acknowledge the change in circumstances.
I understand the convenience of telephoning, but you would be better off writing and requesting that all future communication be in writing. Tell them that if you don’t receive confirmation of your case being closed within the next couple of weeks, you will be making a formal complaint and may involve your MP. Time to get serious!
