Hi. When Cms are calculating what a paying parent should pay how do they work it out and do they include a work car allowance and work fuel allowance? Any thoughts welcome and appreciated.

Hi,

check out CMS calculator to get good idea of how payments are calculated:

https://www.gov.uk/calculate-child-maintenance

i have read on here how other dads said their car allowance was classed as income, so have to pay more maintenance.

usually they first run a check with HMRC, to find out your income.may write to you, asking for payslips etc. self-employed people can give income details from their yearly tax returns.
