Hi wonder if anyone can help..... I've moved over to the cms and was assessed at earning around £27000 a year the cms want £359 every 4 weeks, I only received that amount due to a transition payment that year and explained that I only earn around £17000 I sent in the proof over a month ago now and every time I ring up they say they have accepted the documents and my case will be re assessed, they have been saying this for ages now and still no change, I want to pay the child maintenance but cannot afford the calculation that I earn £27000 a year, they are wanting £359 every 4 weeks. Can anyone give me any advice? Thank you.
I would ask them to put in writing that they have accepted your documents. Once you have this, you could possibly put in an official complaint
Perhaps you should pay something, perhaps the amount that you were paying before the re assessment? Otherwise you will have arrears to deal with too, and without the usual payments, your ex may be left struggling too.
If you decide to do that, make sure you have proof of the payment.
