[Solved] Child support weekly v monthly

Evening guys I've never been good at maths but I've noticed a flaw I think....

I get paid monthly and have always provided for my daughter I do remember from the get go my ex wanted child support paid weekly but I said monthly because I get paid monthly long storey short I lost the argument(fathers always do) And pay on a weekly basis every Friday night.

Paying monthly would mean £200 per month

Paying weekly means £50 per week

The flaw I can see is some months have 5 weeks so I end up paying an extra week(£50) coming to £250 coming out of 1 monthly payslip don't seem right?

Have I missed something, again I'm not great at maths May be I'm overthinking something that's not there ?

think your looking into this too much 🙂

as you have an agreement in place, just carry on paying weekly to keep the peace. i told cms i want to pay monthly, as it would feel more manageable for me.

No, your maths is correct - if the agreement is £200 per month, then you should be paying about £46 per week to pay the same total per year.
