I got residence of my child yesterday (i'm the father)
Anyway i live 200 miles away from my ex and have to make this trip 12 times a year hence about 5000 miles.
The mother isn;t going to contribute towards this as she is pleading poverty despite having 3 long haul holidays in a year, driving a Merc and living in a house costing best part of a million pound.
She is not working due to having a new kid, but i'm wondering if i go through the CSA route will her new husbands income be taken into account. As it seems strange to me she can afford all this but not 1 penny for her daughter.
Hi There,
.
Your ex's income is all that CMS/CSA will look at when making the calculation, though if she has assets above a certain amount and I'm not sure what that amount is, then they may take that into consideration, I would give CMS a call and ask for some advice.
.
Has the court ordered that you drive the children to her or is that an arrangement that you have made between the 2 of you?
.
GTTS
Got to meet in the middle, i agreed to the drive which takes a lot longer than the train to get the order done.
As GTTS has said, only her income is taken into account. If you've been ordered to meet in the middle, then at least the costs are split.
